Tips on how to Watch Apple’s Spring Loaded Occasion At this time

Apple's Spring Loaded event takes place in less than three hours, and we're expecting new iPads, Airpods, and an iMac.

It's Apple's first big event in 2021 and will be streamed online for the whole world to see. Here's everything you need to know about seeing Apple's spring event, as well as some expectations of what products might be announced.

Here's how to watch Apple's Spring Loaded event

Continuing the trend for recent press events and media announcements during the global pandemic, Apple's Spring Loaded event will not be held in person. Instead, as in previous events, the Spring Loaded event will be broadcast online. The press, dedicated Apple fans, and general viewers are invited to watch the livestream to see what is revealed.

"Please visit us for a special Apple event broadcast from Apple Park," said Apple's email invitation. The livestream, which takes place at Apple Cupertino headquarters, can be viewed on Apple's event website.

The event is scheduled for Tuesday April 20 at 10 a.m., which means people on the east coast can tune in at 1 p.m. ET. The livestream will be available on the Apple website and on YouTube in the embedded video above.

What to Expect from the Spring Loaded Livestream Today

True to the company's tradition of delivering surprises through its keynote presentations, Apple has not disclosed what it will reveal at the event. In the past few months, however, there have been rumors of new iPads, updated iMacs, a new Apple TV, and the highly anticipated AirTags.

Given that the stylized Apple logo appears to be hand-drawn for the event, new tablets could be in the fore. Prior to Apple's Spring Loaded announcement, there were rumors that Californian company Cupertino might be refreshing its iPad Pro models with new mini-LED backlighting technology. With supply chains constrained during the pandemic, mini-LED panels could be in short supply and Apple could face a shortage of new iPad models, at least initially.

The iPad mini is also rumored to be updated, with speculation that Apple will increase the screen size to 8.4 inches while maintaining a more traditional design with top and bottom bezels and the Touch ID button. This suggests that slim bezels with a Face ID camera won't work on one of Apple's cheapest tablets.

If you're looking for new Macs, some Apple desktops are already well underway. Most of all, we know that a new iMac with a completely redesigned case is in the works. There will also be a more powerful version of the M1 processors.

Other accessories that could be showcased at the Spring Loaded event include an updated Apple TV with a redesigned remote that can be tracked in Apple's Find My app, as well as first-party AirTags tracking devices.
