Seasoned Destiny 2 players know they can count on the elusive merchant Xur to show up every Friday with special exotic items. What isn't so clear, however, is where to find it. Below is a map with a marker showing where Xur is, as well as a list of his goods.
Who is Xur?
If you are new to Destiny 2 and need more information about it, you should know that Xur is a specialty provider that sells exotic weapons and armor. Every week he comes to the solar system with a list of goods, including an exotic weapon and armor for each character class. Lately he's been carrying fate engrams guaranteeing players an exotic drop that they haven't had from the collection of exotics before the release of Shadowkeep.
Where to Find Xur: (October 2-6)
The problem with Xur is how to find him. We always know when Xur appears – with the daily reset at 10 a.m. PT / 1 p.m. ET every Friday. The question is where is Xur. Previously, the location of Xur was marked on the map in Destiny 2. It's now unmarked and harder to find every weekend. Here is information on Xur, the Agent of the Nine, as well as everything you need to know about this week's deal.
This week you can find Xur at Giant Scar on Io. To get to him, head quickly to the giant scar landing zone. Ride your sparrow right through the building in front of you and hang on the left when you exit. Hug the wall and keep going left until you reach a cave. Come on over there and you will find Xur in the back ready to sell you some exotics.

Xurs goods for this week
And here's what Xur has for goods.
Hard light – 29 legendary shards: Hard light is an essential weapon for auto gun fans. This weapon has three distinct characteristics: bullets excessively penetrate targets, have no falloff damage, and ricochet off surfaces. When a bullet ricochets, its power increases, making it a perfect weapon to aim down a narrow corridor, unload a clip, and hope for the best.
Skull of Dire Ahamkara (Warlock) – 23 Legendary Shards: If Nova Bombs are your number one choice, this is the one Skull of Dire Ahamkara is a must exotic. This helmet grants you additional damage resistance when using your Nova Bomb, which makes it easier to cast successfully. Nova Bomb Kills also grant you super energy and give you a nice energy cycle.
Ophidian Aspect (Warlock) – 23 Legendary Shards: Ophidian Aspect is all about speed. These exotic gauntlets cut the time it takes to deploy and reload weapons. They also extend your melee range so you can hit enemies from a greater distance.
Mask of the Quiet (Titan) – 23 Legendary Shards: For titans who love tank damage, Xur is selling Mask of the Quiet One this week. This exotic helmet gives you ability energy when you take damage. Additionally, if you are seriously injured, kills can help you regain maximum health. This helmet goes well with aggressive play styles. So you should give it a try if you love stepping into action upside down.
Isochronous Engram – 97 Legendary Shards: You can only purchase one of these engrams per week per account. However, if you have your exotic collection filled in, it will be worth it. The Fated Engram will automatically give you something you missed in the exotic Destiny 2 Year 1 and 2 sets, and now Forsaken too.
Five of the swords: Xur is also offering the Five of Swords Challenge this week. This challenge introduces modifiers in Prestige Nightfall missions to increase the rewards.
