Convert with Adobe Acrobat

Using Acrobat is the best way to ensure that the formatting of your conversion is as accurate as possible. However, you need the paid version of Acrobat to use this method. Adobe is currently offering a seven-day free trial of Adobe Acrobat Document Cloud (DC) that you can use for one-time conversions.
Note: This trial version is designed to prevent you from logging in repeatedly. So think of this trial version as a one-time option.
If you need to convert regularly, you might want to pay for the full version, which costs around $ 15 per month with an annual commitment, or as part of an Adobe Creative Cloud package.
Step 1: Open the PDF file you want to convert in Adobe Acrobat. Depending on your preferences, PDF files may open automatically in Acrobat.
Step 2: In the right pane, look for Export PDF. Click it.
Step 3: Click Microsoft Word to view the current format options: Word 97-2003 (.doc) and Word 2013-2016 (.docx). Convert with Microsoft Word
Microsoft Word is a great, free way to convert PDFs to Word documents – if you already have Office. The formatting does not always match and the text may not be accurate. If you have Acrobat or want to try a web-based converter, we recommend using a different option if formatting cannot be used. Finally, other solutions may be more accurate.
Step 1: First, start Word and click on File. This will open a new window: Take a look at the menu bar on the left for the file options. Choose Open.
step 2: The "Open" screen initially only shows the most recent Word documents that you accessed on this computer, not PDF files. If you look under Recent, you'll see options for finding documents in personal (OneDrive files) and other locations (your local hard drive, etc.). Choose one of them and now Word should show you both Word and PDF files that are in that location. You can also just select Browse to find your PDF file.

Word will then display a notification letting you know that the PDF will be converted to an editable Word document. This may take some time and may not look exactly like the PDF due to formatting differences, etc. If everything is okay, select OK.
Step 4: Word then transfers the document to a Word file and opens it. Take a look at the formatting and make sure you can edit the document the way you want without the graphics or text acting strange. If everything works, you're good to go!

There are several online services that you can use to convert PDF files to Word files. If you can't access Acrobat or Word, try one of these freemium programs instead.
