Samsung has announced its next Galaxy Unpacked event, where it will likely showcase what's next in its Galaxy product lines. This event will take place on April 28th at 7am and will be streamed live on the Samsung website.
The event was announced via a press release, but other than the teaser video attached to the announcement, there were no additional details about the purpose of the event. The invitation to the event doesn't offer much in the area of clues either, just a blue glowing cube and the statement that this new product will be "the most powerful galaxy".
This is the third virtual unpacked event of 2021. The first took place during the week of CES when the Samsung flagship Galaxy S21, S21 + and S21 Ultra were presented. These were all 5G enabled phones that focused on the new camera module, high refresh rate displays, and new sizes.
The second unpacked event, which the company dubbed the “Galaxy Awesome Unpacked” event, took place in March. This focused entirely on Samsung's cheaper A-series smartphones. Products featured included the Galaxy A52, A52 5G, and A72 phones.
In other words, don't expect any new smartphones to be announced at this third Galaxy Unpacked event. Samsung offers several lines of the Galaxy brand, including tablets, laptops, and headphones. This could even be something entirely new. Each of them seem to be up for grabs at this next unpacked event, but we'll have to wait to find out for sure.
Apple announced its own Spring Loaded event earlier this morning, scheduled for April 20th and more than a month later than usual. Rumors point to an update to the iPad Pro, a redesigned iMac, and even the delayed AirTag tracking devices.
