If you're looking to build a clean, modern gaming PC, make sure to check out NZXT's N7 series motherboard. Unlike traditional boards, which have the circuitry and solder points exposed, the N7 has a black or white plastic cover that gives your custom gaming PC a more polished and upscale aesthetic.
As the name suggests, the N7 B550 from NZXT is based on the B550 chipset from AMD, making it a great component for Team Red players. The ATX board works with processors from the Ryzen 3000, Ryzen 4000 and Ryzen 5000 series thanks to its AM4 socket, NZXT stated that it does not work with Ryzen 5 3400G and Ryzen 3200G chipsets.
A maximum of 128 GB DDR4 memory is supported. With the plastic cover in place, you can still access the PCIe slots on the main motherboard. The design gives this motherboard a clean and modular appearance that looks more artfully arranged.
The N7 B550 follows NZXT's earlier N7 Z490 board for Intel processors, which has a similarly seamless design. NZXT worked with ASRock on the N7 series board.
"The N7 B550 has everything a builder needs to do their job wonderfully," the company said. “With built-in rear I / O and an optimized board layout, the N7 B550 simplifies the build process. With the built-in digital RGB and fan controls, users can create fan curves or simply control RGB lighting from any manufacturer via NZXT CAM. "
The clean design with its clear tempered glass windows will definitely enhance the look of gaming PCs. When you add a cable management system and RGB lighting, you have a system that you can proudly display without worrying about cluttering your rig. The board looks great in either black or white PC cases from NZXT or any manufacturer of your choice.
The board also has a panel with 10 USB ports on the back – one of which is a USB Type-C port – as well as a variety of audio ports, an HDMI port, and support for Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2.
The NZXT N7 B550 ships now with a list price of $ 229.
