Microsoft Releases Home windows 10 Insider Preview Construct 21359

It includes a couple of useful features … and removing one.

Microsoft's Windows 10 preview builds are a fantastic way to find out what's coming for the popular operating system, and build 21359 is no different. Microsoft has released a full list of the features added in the update, which includes some important details.

What's in Windows 10 Preview Build 21359?

One of the main features in build 21359 is the new option in Windows 10's power options. It's called "Restart apps after signing in" and the impact of this new feature is so great that we've written a whole story about Windows 10's new power option to have.

Unfortunately, the other big highlight is more of a downgrade than a new feature. Windows timeline synchronization will be broken with this new feature, so you won't be able to upload any information to your other devices.

Your timeline history stays on your PC and you can still view all relevant information through a web browser, OneDrive, and Office. However, the automatic synchronization no longer works.

Microsoft is also making a small change to the Easy Access category on the Windows 10 settings pages. Once the update is deleted, you will see that it has a new name: Accessibility.

The update also brings a number of bug fixes. For example, if you love HDR on Windows 10, you may have noticed that some SDR content changed when you either locked or hibernated the PC. Thankfully, this error has now been fixed.

If you're using Auto HDR, you may have noticed that some compatible apps didn't want to enable it. This update should fix that, and Microsoft invites anyone still experiencing issues to join the official DirectX Discord server.

A new set of updates for Windows 10

While this update is sad news for those who enjoy using the Windows Timeline, there are still a lot of interesting tidbits hidden in it. We'll have to wait and see when these changes hit the main branch.

If you want to keep track of everything Microsoft is working on for Windows 10, you need to check the Insider store and get the latest updates before anyone else. Insiders recently received Preview Build 21337, which they can use to customize virtual desktops and test out the new File Explorer.
