Much of the web has moved away from Flash, but sometimes you still need Adobe Flash Player. Here's how to download it.
Flash isn't as popular as it used to be, and you rarely see any websites that use it. However, if a particular website requires Flash for the website to work, you will need to download Adobe Flash Player and install it on your Mac.
The days of Flash are numbered as Adobe plans to end support, but that day has not come. That means you can still download Flash Player and activate it in various web browsers on your Mac computer.

There are cases when you find that the Flash Player is not working. This usually happens when your Mac is running an old version of Flash. It is actually Apple that is blocking this old version from running to protect your Mac from vulnerabilities in Flash Player.
An update to the latest Flash Player version should fix this problem.
Is Adobe Flash Player Safe?
Many security companies do not recommend the use of Flash Player, mainly due to the vulnerabilities. A hacker could exploit one of these vulnerabilities and damage your computer or data.
In general, you should only use Flash Player when absolutely necessary. When a site has two ways to do something – one that requires Flash and one that doesn't – go for the non-Flash option without a second thought.
Adobe will also end support for Flash Player by the end of 2020. After that, you will no longer receive updates or patches for security issues. This is another reason why you should avoid using Flash unless it is your only option.
