How one can Flip Off Display screen Time on iPhone and Mac

Apple's Screen Time can be a handy tool, but you don't always want or need it. We'll show you how to turn it off.

Screen time is a feature that allows you to monitor the time you spend on your Apple devices. You can also use it to set restrictions for apps and restrict unwanted content. However, there may be times when you want to disable them.

Read on to find out how to disable this built-in feature on your iPhone and Mac.

How to turn off Screen Time on your iPhone

To stop using Screen Time on your iOS device, do the following:

  1. Open that the settings App on your iPhone.

  2. Tap on Screen time from the list of settings.

  3. Scroll to the bottom of the page and look for Turn off screen timeand tap on it.

  4. A popup will appear at the bottom of your screen saying that any settings and restrictions you have made using this feature will also be disabled. Confirm your decision by tapping Turn off screen time once again.

If you'd like to use this feature on your phone but just want to turn off the notifications, go to Settings> Notifications> Screen Time and turn off Allow notifications. After you turn off notifications, you can still check out your Screen Time data and it will continue to work as usual.

If you'd like to keep using this feature but want to turn off some of the restrictions or restrictions you've added, go to Settings> Screen Time. Here you can deactivate downtime, deactivate app limits, and remove content and data protection restrictions. To do this, simply select the Screen Time setting that you no longer want to use and turn it off. Note, however, that you can only make changes if you know the PIN that was used when setting up Screen Time.

How to turn off Screen Time on your Mac

To completely turn off Screen Time on macOS:

  1. Start System settings from the dock.

  2. Click on Screen time.

  3. Click in the lower left Options and then Turn off.

If you still want to get app usage statistics but want to turn off some of the Screen Time settings, go to System Settings> Screen Time and select the setting you want to turn off. Here you can disable downtime, app restrictions, and content and privacy restrictions.

If the notifications are bothering you, not the Screen Time, then just like an iPhone, you can turn them off. You can turn off screen time notifications by opening them System Preferences> Notifications. Look in the list of apps for Screen timeand click on it. Then turn it off Allow notifications from screen time. This is also where you can change the way you receive the screen time notifications.

How to remove Screen Time without a PIN

Unfortunately, the only way to turn off Screen Time Limits on your iPhone or Mac without knowing the PIN that was used to set it up is by hard resetting your device. You must really hate Screen Time to use this option as it will lose all of the data stored on your device.

Turn Screen Time back on if necessary

Screen time is a handy feature that lets you keep track of how much time you or your kids are spending on an iPhone or Mac. However, sometimes you want to take a break from this feature. You can just turn it off and on again at any time. Just go to Settings> Screen Time on your iPhone or too System Settings> Screen Time on your Mac and choose the option you want.
