Prime Day lands in October (after being bumped from its usual summer slot), which means Amazon's big blowout this year will fall neatly between September Labor Day sales and November Black Friday. Needless to say, this season is going to be a busy one for bargain hunters, but having all of these sales and Prime Day deals to choose from is hardly an issue to complain about. This is by far the best time of year to get meaty savings on premium products like Apple Tech. So, if you're looking for a macOS laptop and you're looking to save up, here are the Prime Day MacBook deals to see this year along with some early bargains to get you now.

Today's Best Prime Day MacBook Deals

The Prime Day MacBook deals won't officially be here until October (and sometime earlier in the month if current rumors are true), but as with all Apple deals, retailers almost always have discounts on these laptops – you just need to know where to find them. To help you with this, we've already combed the internet to bring you the best bargains you can get right now, and of course we're going to fill this list with all of the Prime Day MacBook deals we can find on the big sale itself finally around.

When are the best Prime Day MacBook deals?

It should come as no surprise that the majority of Prime Day Macbook deals are found on the official sales days. Rumors are circulating that this event will last longer than previous years (likely to make up for its postponement) and this wouldn't be a surprise either, given that Prime Day has grown longer since its inception. It was initially a 24-hour sale that stayed true to its name but was eventually extended to two days. Prime Day 2020 will last at least as long, but even with 48 hours of shopping time, many of these offers are limited in stock and disappeared within a few hours or less.

However, if previous sales show signs of it, Amazon will be getting some upfront bargains to whet customer appetites, and we expect at least some Prime Day MacBook deals among these. When you see a model you want marked during that pre-sale period, grab it when it's a good discount. There's no guarantee it'll be on sale again on Prime Day. You can always return it and buy it again if it shows up at a lower price during the sale.

What to Expect the Prime Day MacBook

The current models in Apple's laptop stall include the 13-inch MacBook Air (which has replaced the discontinued 12-inch MacBook as the “standard” for MacOS laptops), the 13-inch MacBook Pro and the 16-inch -MacBook Pro (which effectively replaced the 15-inch Pro). We expect these new models to be highlighted on the Prime Day MacBook offerings as well. Discounts for the MacBook Air will most likely start at around $ 100, and discounts for the MacBook Pro models will start at around $ 100 to $ 200. These savings will obviously increase for the more expensive, high-end configurations. So look for the biggest price drops there.

Even so, there is still new inventory for these last generation and now-discontinued models, and these older laptops could show up among the Prime Day MacBook offerings. In that case, they might even offer bigger discounts than the newer models, as retailers like to use these sales to offload old inventory and Amazon is no exception to this rule. You may also see these older models offered by third parties. Even if these are technically not Prime Day MacBook deals (only Amazon's own deals are officially part of Prime Day), many other outlets sell their products on Amazon and like to use the Prime Day frenzy to get rid of old inventory. Here, look for the 15-inch MacBook Pro, 12-inch MacBook, and the last-gen MacBook Air.
