Reverb Record is another handy online recording option that you can use with your Chromebook. The Reverb Record interface follows a system similar to Vocaroo. You go to the site, press the record button and start talking. When you are finished, press the Record button again to complete the process. After recording, there are options to share or embed your recording.

When you create a Record Reverb account, you can manage your existing recordings.

There is also the option to use the Reverb Record extension for Google Chrome, which allows you to add an audio recording option to your browser. After installation, Reverb Record is available at the push of a button in the Chrome extension bar next to the address bar.

If you can use developer mode, you can use the Record to Crosh command.

Press CTRL + ATL + T. to open Crosh, the Chrome OS Developer Shell. Use the following command to record audio:

Sound recording (seconds)

Replace the (seconds) with the number of seconds you want to activate your microphone. The output audio file is saved in files. You can play the audio file with Sound game (File location) or select the file manually.

Anchor is a popular podcasting platform that lets you record audio from your Chromebook browser. You can use Anchor to record your audio and then publish it on multiple platforms, including Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, and other podcast platforms.

Using Anchor to record audio on your Chromebook is easy. First you need an anchor account. Go to after signing up Create your podcast> recordingand select your microphone. The default "anchor" should recognize your Chromebook’s built-in microphone. When you're done, press the Record button.
