While the third and fourth generation iPad Pro 12.9-inch models and the first and second generation 11-inch Pro models have the same overall dimensions, some vendors are announcing new keyboard covers for 2020 for the 2018 and 2018 models 2020 with the same size. Note that the new dual-camera array of the latest iPad professionals is different from the 2018 models. The same size and older housings don't exactly fit the new cameras of the 2020 models. The last thing you need is a scratched camera lens on your brand new iPad Pro.

Apple Smart Keyboard
The first keyboard on our radar is of course Apple's Smart Keyboard. This is similar to the 9.7-inch smart keyboard with the same flat key travel and the same overall build quality. This iPad Pro keyboard case is a one-sided affair. It doesn't cover your entire iPad like other keyboard cases, but it does use the Smart Connector so you don't have to pair it via Bluetooth. However, like many Apple branded products, this keyboard is expensive. However, if you want ultimate compatibility and something developed by Apple, this should be your first choice.
Logitech Slim Combo
In a way, the new Logitech Slim Combo is what we wanted from Apple's Smart Keyboard. This keyboard is connected via the Smart Connector like the Apple smart keyboard, so that no pairing is required. Physically, however, the Logitech offer offers full body protection. It also has a built-in holder for your Apple Pencil and is leak-proof and easy to clean. The case is a good choice if you want to make sure your iPad is protected, even if you have to remove the keyboard.
Zagg Rugged Messenger
Protection can be a little light on most keyboard cases, but that's not the case here. The rugged case withstands drops of up to 6.6 feet, has reinforced corners to withstand other types of damage, and acts as a folio case that completely covers your device. It's not just protective. It is also a strong keyboard case. You'll find backlit buttons, support for pairing multiple devices, a built-in stand, a holder for the Apple Pencil, and an alleged battery life of up to two years between charges. That's a damn good list of features for $ 100 and a good choice for anyone whose iPad Pro follows them a lot outdoors.

Keyboards for the iPad Pro 9.7
Zagg Slim Book
If you want to put more of the traditional laptop feeling on your keyboard case, Zaggs Slim Book Pro is the best choice. The case looks more like a notebook when connected to the iPad Pro, so it is somewhat bulky than the first two options. The unique hinge of the housing allows a setting of 135 degrees. The island-style keys make it easy to type as if you were using a conventional keyboard. The buttons are even backlit and use the built-in battery, which has a lifespan of up to two years on a single charge.
Brydge BrydgeAir keyboard
Another new addition to laptop-style sleeves is the beautifully crafted Brydge BrydgeAir. This 100% aluminum case feels solid, but since it's just a keyboard that attaches directly to the tablet, it's not too heavy. It connects via Bluetooth and there are illuminated buttons with adjustable brightness. We love the 180 degree hinge that helps you find the perfect angle for comfort or use it as a tablet when needed.
Logitech teamed up with Apple to design the Create. One place where the Create shines is the price, which is lower than that of Apple with the same functions. Like the Smart Keyboard, it uses the Smart Connector to connect to your iPad Pro. This means it will automatically turn on and pair with the Pro when you connect it via the direct magnetic connection. Another plus is that it is a full-size keyboard and feels much more natural than Apple's own keyboard, reviewers report. However, if you prefer something even more durable, Logitech also offers the matching Rugged Combo title.
If you are looking for alternative cases without a keyboard, you can find the best cases for the iPad Pro 9.7 in our tips.
Keyboards for older iPad Pro 12.9 models (2017/2015)
Apple Smart Keyboard
Apple's smart keyboard will always be an enticing option. The keyboard connects via the Smart Connector instead of Bluetooth, so that a fee can be charged and keystrokes can be sent. It's a nice alternative to the Pro's virtual keyboard. Each of the 64 keys is watertight because it is made of a hard-wearing, specially woven fabric that has a spring-like tension when pressed. This keyboard case is also foldable so you can support your iPad Pro in a comfortable position.
Brydge BrydgePro keyboard
We love the solid feel and matching color of the BrydgePro. The housing is made of 100% aluminum. According to Brydge, the total weight of the 12.9-inch model is lower than that of the MacBook Air. The BrydgePro connects to the iPad Pro via Bluetooth and has illuminated buttons with adjustable brightness. We think it's good that the hinge can be swiveled 180 degrees so that you can use it as a tablet if necessary.
Lenrich 360 degree keyboard case
There is no doubt that this is an odd case, as it makes your iPad Pro look a little like the laptop you get from your workplace IT department. There is more than just strange looks here. Again, there are some really cool features. Your tablet is now not only a very powerful laptop, it can also perform a number of transformations, including a folded tablet and a media stand. The screen also rotates in a circle, so you can easily position your iPad Pro so that everyone can see it. However, it is not perfect. Aside from the unfortunate look, it's also quite bulky and contributes a lot to the otherwise slim build of the iPad Pro. You will also need to charge the keyboard to use it. Still, it's not a terrible option at lower prices.
