How one can Use Zoom Videoconferencing

How to set up a zoom meeting

Initiating a zoom meeting is easy enough. First you have to install the Zoom Client on a PC.

Step 1: Go to the Zoom website and log in to your account. If you don't already have an account, click the "Sign Up, Free" button in the top right and follow the on-screen instructions to create an account. You can also click Sign in and scroll down to sign in with your Google or Facebook account. Hover over "Host a meeting" and create a meeting where video only is enabled, video is disabled, or is only shared with the screen.

Step 2: As soon as you start your first meeting, the zoom client starts downloading. Open the installer and follow the installation instructions. In this example, we decided to host a meeting with the video already activated.

Step 3: Another important first step is testing audio and video. You have this option every time you start a meeting. Click Test Speakers and Microphone to start the process.

You can test and configure your speakers and microphone. If neither works right away, choose the right speakers and / or the right microphone from the drop-down menus provided.

How to share your screen with zoom

Sharing your screen is a useful feature when giving a presentation or giving instructions. First click on Share screen in the lower toolbar. From there you will see a menu with the types of approval you want to perform.

The General tab allows you to choose whether to share your screen, share a specific app, share your iPhone or iPad display (if this option is configured), or create a whiteboard session. You can collaborate on notes and drawings by creating a whiteboard session. On the "Advanced" tab, you can choose whether you want to share part of your screen or "content from a second camera", for example. Finally, on the "Files" tab, you can share files from a number of cloud services such as Google Drive or Dropbox. When you've made your selections, click the blue "Share" button to share your screen.

Note that when you share your screen, the entire screen is shared. So make sure that you have tidied up your work area a little before showing it to the world.

How to invite people to your zoom meeting

You have control over some features since you created the meeting. First, you can invite participants to the meeting. To do this, click the Participants button at the bottom of the screen and then click Invite on the right of the screen. Now you have a choice of email clients and services that you can use to distribute your invitation.

In this case we chose the standard client (Windows Mail). The email sent contains all meeting information and access information. Simply add your desired recipients and the selected email service will take care of the rest.

Another way to invite people to your meeting is to send them the meeting ID that appears at the top of the window. Look for a numeric code. Finally, you can click Invite Link Invite to get the full link that you can share with others.

Once your meeting has started and you have participants, you can manage them. Click More to see options for the entire session.

Click the Participant button at the bottom of the screen, hover over each participant listed in the sidebar menu on the right side of the screen, and then click More to add participant-specific options such as "Start Video" or "Create." "to get hosts.

You can also record your meetings. To do this, click the More icon and then select Record on this computer from the menu that appears. Zoom then starts recording the session. A number of controls appear in the upper left area of ​​the zoom interface. Press the stop button when recording is complete. Your video will be saved as an MP4 when your meeting ends.

Once your meeting is over, you can end the zoom session. If you want to leave the meeting but want to continue the meeting, you must assign a new host.

How to join a zoom meeting

There are two ways to attend a zoom meeting. The host should provide either a link or a meeting ID. If it's the full link, just paste it into your web browser and you're on the go.

If you only have one meeting ID, just go to Zoom.us/join. From there, insert the meeting ID and click Join.

How to update zoom
